StevenGuestHello,
I am using the free Purea magazine theme and have been enjoying it. However, I would like to make a few edits and was seeing if anybody can help guide me,
Questions About Featured Posts on Homepage
1) Is there a way to limit what specific posts are shown here? Currently it is pulling my latest posts in all categories. If I only want one category of posts to go here, can I do that?
2) the three featured posts are directly under the navigation toolbar. Can I lower this a bit so I can add a heading above it?
3) Can I reduce the size or edit the sizes of the boxes for these featured posts? They are much larger than I would like.
-Follow up Question, Can I customize the size of each box individually?4) The post displays the featured image, which makes sense. However, is it possible to remove/hide the featured image from being shown in the post after it redirects to the specific post link?
Misc Questions
5) How would I go about removing the loading pulse each time I load a page?
Thank you for your time and help in advance.

Spiracle ThemesGuestHi Steven,
Answering all the questions below
1) Go to Appearance -> Customize -> Front Page Settings and then find Highlight Area section. You’ll see options to select the category.
2) Sorry about that but there is no easy way to do it.
3) Yes, that’s possible through CSS. Please tell us more about it.
Yes you can change the box individually through CSS4) I need more explanation in this. Hiding featured images on click needs some coding I guess. We can hide featured images on the single post or the external link post
5) Go to Appearance -> Customize -> Preloader Settings and disable loader
Let us know if you have any questions
Best Regards

Joe MGuestFor #4, I found the plugin “Conditionally display featured image on singular pages and posts” works very well for this purpose. It’s untested with the current version of WordPress, but it does seem to function as intended.
